Hello, my fearless Wor-heads!  Sorry it's been such a long time since my last update.  But that means I've got TONS of awesome news to share!  Let's go!!

First up, I just got back from Power-Con in Los Angeles, the convention devoted to He-Man, She-Ra, Thundercats and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Sounds awesome, right?  Well, IT IS!!  If you haven't heard of it, check it out HERE and start making plans to attend next year.  It's a blast!

While at Power-Con I debuted not one, but TWO brand new Warlords of Wor toys:  Beastor-9, Twisted Abomination of Science, and Arkannis, The Mysterious Mystic Upstart!

Beastor-9, Twisted Abomination of Science!
                                                                Arkannis, The Mysterious Mystic Upstart!

That brings us half way through Wave 1... four down, four more to go!!  Coming up next will be our first female figure, Valkyrie, Fierce Winged Warrior, and Dirge, Prince of the Undead!  Keep watching for more details on them in the coming months!

The next thing I got to show off at Power-Con was the debut of Warlords of Wor: Weelord Minis!!
This project was something I've had brewing for a while and it was such a treat to develop!  I got the chance to work with a dream team of some really talented artists to bring these cute little dudes to life, and I can't wait to make some more!
The first step was to enlist ├╝ber talented illustrator Richard Garcia to transform my characters into adorable minis in full turnaround.

Then I got the incredible Tyler Ham of HamFX to transform Richards 2D images into fully realized 3D digital sculpts.

Tyler set me up with Moddler, LLC to do the 3D printing on their state-of-the-art equipment, delivering the highest quality, most amazingly flawless 3D prints you can find!

40mm of pure awesome!!
Weelord Minis and Friends!

With all the heavy lifting out of the way, it was my turn to step in and put my mold-making and casting expertise to work, cranking out high-quality resin mini figures in an assortment of delicious colors!  Special thanks goes to HomeBrew Paint/Dye System for making some brilliant resin dyes that also double as paints for a variety of materials!  One bottle to rule them all!!

So with the debut of Weelord Minis has come a couple really cool new developments.  First off is that Warlords of Wor: Weelord Minis will be playable characters in Kaiju Kaos: Smackdown by Bailey Records!  Now you'll be able to sit down with a friend and play out some epic Warlords of Wor battles in a fast-paced, easy-to-learn tabletop miniatures game!  Beginning with Bog-Nar and Clawbber, the Warlords of Wor addition to Kaiju Kaos: Smackdown will eventually feature characters and creatures from every corner of the Worniverse, as well as special terrain "playsets" for your minis!  And on top of all that, your Warlords of Wor miniatures will be playable with the FULL lineup of amazing characters found in the world of Kaiju Kaos, like Multiskull by Monsterforge, Treegarr by BigManToys, and even Deadbeet by Scott Tolleson!  And if this is your thing and you'd like to support Kaiju Kaos, be sure to check out their Kickstarter for the massive Super Robot Stratomaxx!!

In addition to the Kaiju Kaos announcement, I've teamed up with my friends at Clutter Magazine to bring a very limited number of Clutter Magazine Exclusive minis to New York Comic Con!!  Cast in vivid translucent magenta, these will come as a pair and are limited to just 20 sets at $15 each, available ONLY at the Clutter Magazine booth, #504 in The Block at NYCC, Oct 10-13, 2013.

If you follow me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, you've probably seen some teasers for the third mini comic, Pride of the Guerrillax!  If not, here's a sneak peak at what you'll be getting!  Written as always by Eric Scot Lemons and me, this issue sees a dream of mine finally become a reality as the uncanny Tom Scioli delivers a stupefying series of sequential spectacle that is sure to fascinate and delight!

Last, but not least... we hit 500 Likes on our Facebook page!!  That means everyone can finally download and enjoy the first two mini comics, published together as my 2013 Convention Special, for FREE!!  Just head over HERE and get to reading!  And don't forget that Warlords of Wor comics are for everyone!  Eric and I strive to bring Wor to life in a way that appeals to, and is appropriate for, fans of any age!  So don't just keep them to yourself, share them with your friends, kids, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, grandparents, aunts, uncles, moms, dads... you get the idea!

I think that's all for now... whew!!  Go forth and enjoy the comic, look for me at NYCC at booth #114 in The Block with epyon5 and Rocky Horror Saved My Life - A Fan Documentary, and be sure to let me know what you think about all the new things happening in the world of Warlords of Wor!!

It's about time for an update, yeah?

Wow!  So, uh... it's been a while!  I've been super busy over here at Warlords of Wor HQ, cranking out new toys, putting together a comic book, traveling around the country for gallery shows and comic conventions, and making plans for an exciting future for Warlords of Wor!

First off, let's talk about the Warlords of Wor mini comics!  The plan as we move forward is to take WoW to factory production, and these factory-produced versions of the toys will include 8-page mini comics to help tell the stories of our heroes and nasties.  The first two minis are completely finished, and Eric and I have almost completed the next 6 scripts already!  For my convention appearances this year I printed the first two minis in a full size flip book with additional pinups by some incredibly talented artists.  Issue one, The Mutant Muck Menace, features artwork by Cory Hamscher (Supreme, Avengers Academy) and colors by Sean Forney (Scarlet Huntress), with a cover by Tim Seeley (Revival, Witchblade, Hack/Slash) and Sean Forney.

Issue 2, Ghosts of Tohoco, boasts interior art by Brian Level (The Brothers James), and a cover by Tim Seeley and Lisa Moore (Adventure Time).

In addition to the two action-packed tales, the book features pinups by Steve Seeley (Hoax Hunters), Jenny Frison (Revival), Ramon Villalobos (LP), Brian Level, Chris Faccone (Savage Conquest) and Dave Crosland (Scarface: Scarred for Life).  If you were lucky enough to snag a copy at C2E2 or HeroesCon, congrats!!  My next stop is PowerCon in Torrance, CA on Sept 14-15.  If you're going to be there please stop by and say hello!  I will be making a very limited number of these print comics available in the store very soon, so be sure to follow me on Facebook and Twitter for that announcement.  The book will also be available soon as a digital download, so keep an eye out for that news as well.

The last thing I want to share with everyone are some photos of the all-new Clawbber toy!!!!
The second character to be featured in the Warlords of Wor line, Clawbber is the Two-Fisted General of Justice, and the line's debut hero!  A noble warrior and brilliant tactician, Clawbber leads the Worian Guard into battle alongside Maxxor and the rest of the Warlords of Wor.

Seen below are some test shots of my first color tests.  The final looks a bit different, and I'll have more photos of him soon along with info on how you can add him to your collection!  But for now, here he is!!

Just like Bog-Nar, Clawbber features 10 points of fully interchangeable magnetic articulation and is compatible with ALL ManOrMonster? Studios toys!
UN-like Bog-Nar, Clawbber will not come with a set of Build-a-Figure parts.  In order to better manage my costs and production time, I have decided to discontinue the BAF element.  But fear not!!  Dekay will still be available as a FREE mail away exclusive for those of you that collect all 7 basic figure releases... so you're still going to get Dekay, now just all at once instead of piece by piece.

Well, I think that just about does it for me tonight!  I'll have some cool new updates soon regarding order info for Clawbber, the comic book, and maybe a surprise or two.  Stay tuned!!
Until next time, loyal Wor-heads!
